A landmark edition, hosted at IIT Madras
The Department of Management Studies (DoMS), IIT Madras, hosted ICFMCF 2026 at its Chennai campus from 3–5 July 2026 — recognised as one of India's most prestigious and internationally acclaimed academic conferences in finance. The conference opened with a welcome address by Prof. M. Thenmozhi (Conference Convenor), a Chief Guest address by Prof. Avanidhar Subrahmanyam (UCLA Anderson School of Management), and an inaugural address by Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras.
Keynote sessions across the three days featured Prof. Tarun Ramadorai (Imperial College London) on household finance, and Prof. Viral Acharya (NYU Stern School of Business) on AI innovation in finance. Sessions also covered carbon markets, commodity trading, market surveillance and a dedicated workshop on Natural Language Processing for finance research, with participation from senior officials of SEBI, RBI and Indian Bank.
